"I want you to know I certainly appreciate the exquisite knife.  It is by far the most beautiful knife I have ever seen, much less had the pleasure of owning.  A real work of craftsmanship in every regard.  I will keep and wear it proudly."

James B.

"Absolutely sensational, that 12" chef's knife. I have followed your work and greatly admire your artisanship. Awesome! One piece artworks."

Dieter H.

"I didn't realize you carved/cut the stag to draw out one-handed.
It grabs perfectly. Pictures do it great justice, but actually handling it is awesome!!! Could not be happier with it. Such a great knife."

Raymon Hunt

Raymon began making knives in 2011 at the urging of longtime friend and maker, Jim Crowell. He has had a lifelong interest in knives and began collecting custom handmade knives in 1981 when he bought three of the first knives that Jim made. In the intervening years he has collected hundreds of knives, concentrating on Jim Crowell, Steve Dunn, Harvey Dean, Don Heathcoat, Ron Newton, and Steve Woods knives.

Raymon’s first formal training in knife making was in early 2011 at Jim Crowell’s shop in Mountain View, AR. Raymon had developed a knife design, over a three year period, based on an original design of Jim’s. After the third iteration, Raymon deemed it “perfect” for general use on the ranch, in the kitchen, and in the woods. It’s known as the 3H’s Ranch Knife, by Jim Crowell. Raymon sold 17 of them and spent a week with Jim in his shop helping make them and he was hooked. He loves the knife-making process and the striving to make each knife better than the last one. It is a quest.

For as long as he is able to work, Raymon guarantees each knife against defects in workmanship, providing the knife has not been abused. He does not guarantee natural handle materials such as ivory, pearl, stag, or bone. Raymon will also re-sharpen his knives when they are returned to him with shipping and insurance prepaid.

Raymon grew up in East Texas. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from LeTourneau University in 1970 and an MBA from SMU in 1977. He worked for two different auto parts manufacturing corporations for over 28 years, in Texas, Indiana, and Michigan. In 1998 he and two partners started Hunt, Norton, Rodgers, LLC for the purpose of acquiring and operating small businesses. Over the next 10 years, they bought and grew three companies. The last one was sold in 2009.
